Mesotherapy for Skin or Scalp: What to Know Before Treatment

Mesotherapy is a broad treatment label, so the exact ingredients, delivery method, suitability, limitations and aftercare should be confirmed first.

Mesotherapy describes procedures in which selected ingredients are delivered into or around the skin. It is not one standard formula: ingredients, depth, technique, evidence and intended purpose can vary substantially.

FZ's active service list confirms Mesotherapy for skin or scalp after assessment. It does not separately confirm fixed face, under-eye, hair-growth or fat-dissolving protocols, so those should not be assumed from the general service name.

Seek medical help for a severe or worsening reaction

Temporary tenderness, redness, bruising or swelling may occur, but concerning symptoms need prompt assessment.

  • Breathing difficulty or swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
  • Fever, pus, spreading redness, increasing warmth or severe pain
  • Blistering, marked skin discolouration, an open wound or tissue breakdown
  • Any rapidly worsening symptom or unexpected systemic illness

What is mesotherapy?

The word mesotherapy covers different injection or delivery techniques and many possible formulations. A safe consultation should name each proposed ingredient and explain its purpose, evidence, alternatives, possible adverse effects and whether the product is intended for the proposed use.

Claims that mesotherapy deeply nourishes, detoxifies, heals, permanently brightens or reverses ageing are not guaranteed clinical outcomes.

Mesotherapy for skin concerns

A skin consultation may consider hydration, texture or other appearance-related concerns after checking for active acne, eczema, infection, broken skin, allergies, medicines and previous procedures. The eye area requires particular caution because of its anatomy and sensitivity.

Any change in hydration, texture or appearance varies by formulation and individual response. A brighter, youthful or even complexion cannot be promised.

Mesotherapy for scalp or hair concerns

Hair shedding and thinning have many possible causes. Assessment should consider the pattern, scalp health, medicines, nutrition and possible hormonal or medical contributors before an elective procedure is selected.

Scalp mesotherapy cannot guarantee reduced shedding, stronger follicles, new growth or fuller hair. Ask how progress would be assessed and when Dermatology or another medical route is appropriate.

Do not assume a fat-dissolving protocol

FZ's current mesotherapy listing confirms skin or scalp assessment, not a named fat-dissolving mesotherapy programme. Products used for body contouring can carry different risks and should not be inferred from this service without separate hospital confirmation and clinical consent.

Questions to ask before mesotherapy

  • What exact ingredients, concentrations and delivery method are proposed?
  • What evidence and realistic limitations apply to this concern?
  • Who will perform the procedure and what sterile technique is used?
  • Could pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, medicines or a health condition affect suitability?
  • What reactions, aftercare, review plan, number of sessions and total cost should be expected?
